Instructions

Install Instructions For True North Pellet Stove 1 RPM Auger Motor: TN40.RP5001003-AMP

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers remove the retainer pin that attaches that auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor).

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.

Troubleshooting

It is important to understand what safety switches are on your stove. Often times when the auger motor is not feeding pellets it is the result of an issue somewhere else in the unit. Make sure you review your manual and test all switches that could be affecting auger rotation.

On most units, an issue with the hopper lid or pressure switch can cause the motor not to rotate!

Timberwolf auger motor replacement

I ordered a replacement auger motor for my Tiberwolf TP35 pellet stove when the original quit after 6 years of heavy service. Shipping took 2 weeks, and it came in well wrapped and ready to install. The hard part was to gain access to the back of the stove, but after that it was easy, just one cotter pin to pull out and two wires to disconnect. Installing the new motor was very easy, just turn the auger by hand so that the holes for the cotter pin line up (best to empty the hopper first).
