Description

Hearthstone Wood Stove Baffle Board Kit.  The baffle board helps by holding heat in the firebox, causing the reburn tubes to reach extremely high temperatures.  It also stops the flue gases from quickly exiting the stove and forces them to travel across the upper air tubes allowing reburn to take place.

Install Instructions For Hearthstone Heritage Baffle Board Kit (17-1⁄2'' x 8-1⁄2'' x 1⁄2''): 90-76210-AMP

Install Instructions:

1.) Make sure the fire is completely out and the stove is cool to the touch.

2.) Open the door of the stove and locate the stainless-steel cotter pins (These pins attach the baffle board to one of the secondary reburn tubes inside the stove).

3.) Remove the cotter pins by compressing the bottom and pushing them up into the existing baffle board.

4.) Once the pins have been removed the existing baffle board can be taken out (On some stoves this will require the top stones/panel of the unit to be removed. There may also be a top baffle retainer that needs to be uninstalled prior to removal. On others, you can simply push up from inside the stove, slide the baffle back, tilt the board and remove it by sliding it out between the reburn tubes.

5.) Next, position the stainless-steel plate in the center, on the top side of the new baffle, and run the supplied retainer wires through both (Make sure to leave an even length of wire hanging down on each side).

6.) Position the new baffle in place and twist the retainer wires around the reburn tube (On most baffles there is an indentation on the front end that the first reburn tube will set into. Make sure the board is positioned correctly!).

7.) Reinstall any baffle retainers that may have been removed.

8.) Last, reinstall any stones or panels that may have been removed.



Troubleshooting

Helpful Tips:

It is important to inspect the baffle board on a regular basis. Missing pieces or cracks in the baffle may reduce how effectively the reburn system works. If you notice signs of deterioration as previously mentioned the board should be replaced.




Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
