Instructional Notes

1.) Start by laying out your new firebrick on the floor. (It is helpful to lay out each side individually and compare it to the bricks inside the stove. i.e., rear, right side, left side, bottom).

2.) Inspect the firebox to see if any brick retainers need to be removed. If so, remove them at this time.

3.) Remove the existing firebrick. Pay attention to how the bricks come out. (Most of the time, the firebricks on the side and rear need to be removed before the brick on the bottom can be removed).

4.) Install the new firebrick. (These bricks will be installed in the reverse order in which they were removed).

5.) Reinstall any previously removed retainers.
