Description

Replacement baffle board for RSF wood fireplaces. Measures 23-3/4" x 12-5/8" x 1/2".

Baffles in wood stoves and inserts are required to be in good condition to burn efficiently and meet EPA emissions regulations. The baffle, when working correctly, creates a secondary high temperature burn zone to reduce smoke emissions. Over time, it is normal for baffles to deteriorate and they can be easily broken during routine maintenance. Stoves with broken or missing baffles will burn less efficiently, smoke more, and not comply with emissions regulations. To ensure your stove is working efficiently and safely, inspect your baffles yearly and replace them when they have visible damage such as cracking or missing material.

To remove the baffle, first remove the secondary air tube. Simply unscrew the secondary air tube on the left side, slide the tube toward the right until the left end drops out of its hole. Slide the tube back towards the left to get the right end out of its hole.To remove the baffle, push up and slide it off the brackets. Replace both the baffle and the secondary air tube as you removed them and be sure to have the holes on the secondary air tube facing toward the front. Do this in reverse order to get the baffle back into place. It will take some time and patience.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
