Description

Ashley Pellet Stove (1 RPM CW) Auger Motor: C-E-017 / 80642.  The auger motor rotates the auger shaft, which transfers fuel from the hopper to the burn pot.  This motor has a clockwise rotation and a mounting hole drilled in the shaft to accept a cotter pin.  Make sure to confirm the RPM of your old motor before ordering.  

Note:  Auger shafts with coils spaced 1" apart are normally used on units with 4 RPM motors.  Auger shafts with coils spaced 2" apart are normally used on units with 1 RPM motors.

Instructions

Install Instructions For Ashley Pellet Stove Auger Motor 1 RPM (C-E-017) For APC4000: 80642

(May vary depending on attachment style)

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers, remove the retainer pin that attaches the auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor).

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.
