Instructional Notes

The exhaust blower is located on the right side of the stove behind the service door. Always unplug the unit before attempting any service in the mechanical cabinet. To remove the entire assembly:

  • Unplug the motor from the power jack.
  • Locate and remove the 6 hex nuts that fasten the motor hub to the assembly. Remove then with an 8mm or 11/32" socket
  • Install your new motor assembly with gasket with your wire leads in the UP position
  • Attach the green grounding wire to one of the motor posts
  • Secure new motor with nuts

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting Notes

If your motor runs hot to the touch or vibrates, typically this means that the motor needs to be replaced. There are instances where a controller may be sending a modified signal to the motor. Before replacing the motor, bench test the motor with 120 volts directly from a test cord, see if the blower still operates the same way. If the performance improves, such as less hot and no vibrations, replace your controller, otherwise replace the motor.

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
