Description

Replacement vacuum / pressure switch for Lennox pellet stoves. Includes rivets for mounting. Fits the following Whitfield / Lennox pellet stove model: Cascade (WP5)

The vacuum switch is the stoves way of knowing it has an airflow through the venting in the proper direction. If the vacuum switch doesn't see a pressure difference it will not remain closed. When it opens the auger is stopped depriving the stove of fuel and leading to shutdown for safety.

Vacuum Switch Visual Note: The manufacturer of all OEM and AMP switches has made a design change. The switch received may appear different, but will work the same.

Troubleshooting

Often when the unit stops feeding pellets, customers assume there is an issue with their auger. In reality, this issue is often the result of a vacuum pressure problem. If the vacuum switch is operating correctly, there will be a “V” symbol visible on the bottom of the main screen on the control panel when the exhaust fan is running.

To test the vacuum/pressure switch, disconnect the air hose from the body of the stove. With the other end still attached to the air switch, very gently create suction on the loose end of the hose (You may want to remove the hose entirely from the port on the stove and the air switch first to make sure it is clear). If you hear a click, the air switch is working (Be careful during this step. Creating too much negative pressure can damage the switch).

If the switch appears to be operating correctly but you are still receiving a vacuum-related error code make sure to check:

1.) All gaskets are in good condition.

2.) The main load door and ash door are closing correctly.

3.) There are no obstructions in the exhaust vent or combustion blower.


Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

I am so glad I found this place! A web search when my pellet stove began malfunctioning and just before the holiday season too... So the website is very user friendly, I am not exactly an adept at diagnosing and repairing pellet stoves, but I found the needed parts and the shipment was at my door at least a week ahead of what I expected! All part fit perfectly and the stove is running like new. I very highly recommend this place!

I am so glad I found this place! A web search when my pellet stove began malfunctioning and just before the holiday season too...
