Instructional Notes

This is a basic overview of how to replace the auger/drive motor. This process will vary depending on the unit!

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger/drive motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers, remove the retainer pin that attaches the auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor). On some motors, a set screw will need to be removed.

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin or set screw.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.
