Hearthstone Wood Stove Blanket.  This blanket is located above the fiberboard in the top of your stove.  The insulating blanket helps retain heat inside the stove and allows the re-burn tubes to reach high temperatures.

Install Instructions:

1.) Locate the blanket. On some stoves the blanket can be removed by gently pulling it out of position from inside the unit. On other models you may need to remove the top casting to gain access to this area.

2.) Reposition the new blanket in place. Sometimes it helps if you fold the blanket in half, slide it into position and then unfold it once in place.

3.) Reinstall the top casting and any retainers if previously removed.

Helpful Tips:

It is important to periodically inspect the blanket to make sure it is in good condition. If the blanket becomes worn or is missing pieces, it may not work as effectively as it should. The blanket assists in activating the reburn system and helps to retain heat inside the stove.
