Troubleshooting

This is an F140-20 made from a ceramic material which is high-heat tolerant. Because it's normally open, it's most often referred to as a fan switch. At ambient room temperature this switch is normally open or OFF and needs to detect heat to CLOSE to allow power to flow through the circuit. The switch will close at 120 degrees to restore power and will return to it's normal state at 140 degrees to cut power automatically. Failure of this switch happens when it stops opening or closing at the designated temperature thresholds.


Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
