I have a 30 year old Quadrafire wood stove insert. I was inspecting the stove and found that the baffle had failed and the ceramic blanket was almost burned through. These are critical components that protect the structure of the stove. Note: The baffle is a 17.5" x 15.5" x 3/8" heavy steel plate that sits directly above the flame and protects the stove from burn through. I had difficulty locating the model number and once located, I was sure that I would not be able to find parts for a 30 year old stove. I was stunned that "S&G Parts for Less" (S&GPfL) not only had replacement parts but that the parts were in stock, pricing was extremely reasonable and shipping was free for the amount of my parts purchase. Again, the baffle is a very heavy metal plate. My expectation was that since the shipping was free, that it would be a very slow shipping process. S&GPfL quoted receipt of parts would be 3 to 8 business days. To my surprise, the baffle arrived in 4 business days and the remaining parts arrived shortly after. All of this was during the days before the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon receipt, I test fit the parts and found them to be perfect fit replacements. Due to S&GPfL I was able to rebuild my 30 year old wood stove for less than $300. Of course while the stove was dismantled, I performed a complete chimney sweep, sanded and repainted all surfaces and I polished all trim pieces. I inspected all internal surfaces including fire bricks and found all to be in prime condition. The stove is effectively restored to nearly new factory condition. If I had not been able to locate replacement parts a new wood or pellet stove would have cost at least $6,000. S&GPfL was the reason the savings allowing me to repair rather than replace.
