Lennox Ironstrike Refractory Baffle Boards (2-Pack): F3847-AMP

Replacement set of two baffle boards for Lennox Ironstrike wood stoves. Each baffle board measures 17-3/4" x 6-3/4" x 1/2". Compatible with Lennox Ironstrike Grandview 230 (GV230GL), Montlake 230 (ML230GL).

Please note: This part is only compatible with the GL models.

Baffles in wood stoves and inserts are required to be in good condition to burn efficiently and meet EPA emissions regulations. The baffle, when working correctly, creates a secondary high temperature burn zone to reduce smoke emissions. Over time, it is normal for baffles to deteriorate and they can be easily broken during routine maintenance. Stoves with broken or missing baffles will burn less efficiently, smoke more, and not comply with emissions regulations. To ensure your stove is working efficiently and safely, inspect your baffles yearly and replace them when they have visible damage such as cracking or missing material.

Install Instructions For Lennox Ironstrike Refractory Baffle Boards (2-Pack): F3847-AMP

Instructional Notes

(May vary depending on model)

1.) Make sure the fire is completely out and your stove is cool to the touch.

2.) Open the main load door.

3.) Locate the retainer clip and bolt on the first reburn tube.

4.) On most stoves 1-2 of the reburn tubes will need to be removed in order to take out the baffle board.

5.) Spray the bolts holding the retainer clips in place with penetrating oil and let them sit (PB Blaster or WD40 works well).

6.) Remove the first 1-2 retainer clips and reburn tubes (Normally, this will give you enough room to remove the baffle).

7.) Slide the old baffle out and position the new baffle in its place (Make sure the new baffle is positioned correctly. If it is too far forward it may cause issues with the burn).

8.) Reinstall any previously removed tubes and retain clips.

9.) Close the door.
