Replacement set of 2 ceramic fiber baffle plates (250-03598) and blanket (250-03599) for Lopi Wood Stoves. Compatible with Lopi Evergreen, Evergreen Step-Top, and Evergreen Insert NexGen-Fyre.

Note: Does not fit Evergreen NexGen-Hybrid

Baffles in wood stoves and inserts are required to be in good condition to burn efficiently and meet EPA emissions regulations. The baffle, when working correctly, creates a secondary high temperature burn zone to reduce smoke emissions. Over time, it is normal for baffles to deteriorate and they can be easily broken during routine maintenance. Stoves with broken or missing baffles will burn less efficiently, smoke more, and not comply with emissions regulations. To ensure your stove is working efficiently and safely, inspect your baffles yearly and replace them when they have visible damage such as cracking or missing material.

Instructional Notes

The baffle is held up by the 4 air tubes. Make sure to support the baffle while removing the air tubes.

  • Remove the two front air tubes. Lift the front baffle up, twist it forward and remove.
  • Remove the bypass yoke assembly (pull the bypass forward, unscrew the extension rod from the yoke). The yoke may be removed by reaching through the bypass hole.
  • Remove the bypass slider (it may be removed by reaching through the bypass hole). Remove the bypass support (lift it up from below, turn it sideways, slide it forward, and remove it from the front).
  • Remove the baffle insulation (take care – it is fragile and may be covered in flashing).
  • The baffle plates may be removed to finalize baffle removal. To replace the baffle components, follow the instructions in reverse order

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
