Control Board
The new control board fixed my problem and it’s very simple to install.
My stove (130) has been having a hard time keeping the temperature correct. We used to have it set at 3 on the dial to keep it at 70 in here, later we had to keep turning it up. We had it to 7 and it still wouldn't get much better. It was still turning on and off, but was only keeping it around 65. Now we have to turn it up to 8 for it to come on and it runs steady with amber light on constantly. Seems like it is on low. Could it be the dial control or the board? Thanks for any help.
Amber light constantly on means that the stove is in either low burn constant pr high burn constant mode, anywhere between low and high is the comfort settings and that is a green light. The stove takes the temperature from the room sensing probe on the back of the stove just above the motherboard, it's a black wire with jus the head of the probe sticking out the back. You can try taking the probe out and placing it away from the stove a bit, but do not put it against anything warm and try and keep it off the cold floor. This may keep the stove from turning off and on too much...it may need a more stable temperature, additionally, fans in the back of the stove, sunlight and drafts from windows and doors can affect the probe too. I doubt you're having a problem with the dial controller, though it's possible, not very common. If anything, you may need a new motherboard...I've replaced many and usually the symptoms are not starting or only burning on one setting...like it's stuck in a start-up mode or something.
My stove stopped feeding pellets. Replaced motor and bypassed vacuum switch. Made no difference. I get steady amber on 5 and flame gets big, then goes out after feed stops. Could this problem be caused by the control board or the dial control?
My exhaust fan runs while temperature adjust is in off position. Turns on as soon as it gets plugged in. Even after unplugging the on/off switch fan still runs. So is the problem my circuit board?
