Install Instructions For Ashley Pellet Stove Igniter 6.25" Long (300W): 80604
.) Make sure your stove is completely cool, and then remove the power cord from the back of the unit.
.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the area of the stove where the igniter is mounted (This will vary from unit to unit).
.) Unplug the two wire leads coming from the auger motor.
.) Using pliers, remove the retainer pin that locks the auger motor to the auger shaft and remove the motor (The auger motor should drop down free from the auger shaft once the pin is removed. The auger may not need to be removed on all models).
.) Disconnect the two wire leads coming from the igniter that are fed from the wiring harness.
.) Remove the two bolts holding the igniter module in place.
.) Once removed, use an Allen wrench to loosen the screw on the back of the module (This will allow the igniter to be removed from the housing).
.) Insert the new igniter into the housing and tighten the Allen screw (Leave approximately 1/4 inch from the end of the housing to the end of the igniter).
.) Reposition the igniter housing and install the previously removed bolts.
) Connect the two wires from the igniter back to the igniter wires being fed from the harness.
.) Line up the auger with the auger shaft and insert the retaining clip to lock the auger motor in position.
.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring for the auger.
.) Reconnect any previously removed panels.
.) Connect the power cord.
.) Turn on the stove to run a test burn.
Note: If you are uncomfortable replacing any of the components on the stove, we recommend having a certified electrician or Stove technician do this for you!
