Install Instructions For Ashley Pellet Stove Exhaust Blower Motor: 80602-AMP

Instructional Documents:

Instructional Videos:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Open the service panel on the side/rear of the stove.
  3. Remove the two wire leads running from the wiring harness to the blower motor.
  4. Next, remove the bolts holding the blower motor to the housing of the stove.
  5. Remove the blower (The gasket between the blower and housing should be replaced at this time).
  6. Position the new gasket & blower in place.
  7. Reinstall the previously removed bolts.

Troubleshooting

If your motor runs hot to the touch or vibrates, typically this means that the motor needs to be replaced. There are instances where a controller may be sending a modified signal to the motor. Before replacing the motor, bench test the motor with 120 volts directly from a test cord, see if the blower still operates the same way. If the performance improves, such as less hot and no vibrations, replace your controller, otherwise replace the motor.

The exhaust blower is responsible for removing smoke from the unit and pulling combustion air into the stove. If you notice a lazy flame when your stove is burning or smell smoke, you should shut down the stove. Carefully inspect all gaskets, clean the stove/venting, and inspect the area around the combustion blower. If all gaskets are sealing properly and the stove/venting is clean, the combustion blower may need to be replaced.

replacement part arrived in a timely manner

When my exhaust blower motor failed unexpectedly at the worst time possible, I was able to order the replacement part and received it within a few days. I installed it quickly with no problems and is working quietly and efficiently. The cost of the part was lower than the part offered by the original manufacturer. This company offers the exact replacement parts at the lowest prices with very quick delivery. Have used them before and will use them again. Very satisfied.

After getting used to the fan that came on the unit when we acquired it, I thought that was how it was supposed to sound. Once I installed the new fan, it was so quiet. I can barely hear it running. The fan works great.
