How This Part Works

Instructional Notes

Step 1: Loosen the 2 screws that hold the 2 RTD wires in place.

Step 2: Remove the 2 screws that hold the RTD Plate in place.

Step 3: Remove the screws and nuts and pull out the RTD and wires.

Step 4: With new replacement RTD, reverse the steps above to reinstall.

TIP: The temperature of your unit is highly affected by ambient outdoor weather, quality of pellets used, flavor of pellets, and the quantity of food being cooked. Always monitor the temperature of your grill and the food being cooked!


CAUTION: Kinks or folds in the probe wires may cause damage. A probe not in use should be rolled up in a large, loose coil.

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.

The temp sensor was the issue and it was an easy fix If you have basic knowledge on electronics and wiring and using hand tools.
