  • What would be some of the reasons to replace the Auger? My auger binds on each revolution, always at the exact same place, if I physically move the augers it will rotate on turn until it comes to the same spot. and it binds again. I have already cleaned the auger and the feeder tube.

    If you remove the auger assembly and separate the auger shaft you'll want to inspect it for a curve or bend, the shaft itself should roll on a flat surface smoothly. IF it has a bend or curve in will bounce. If the auger looks good, inspect the feed tube for an obstruction on the sidewall. If both of those are okay, you may have a broken gear in your auger motor.
