US Stove Company (USSC) Wood / Pellet Stove Feed Door Latch (25080). The door latch is an important part of the stove.  This latch helps to create an airtight seal between the door and body of the unit. A worn/broken door latch can allow smoke to enter the room, reduce your stove's efficiency, and cause the stove to overfire.

Instructions

Install Instructions For US Stove Wood / Pellet Feed Door Latch: 25080-OEM

Instructional Notes

1.) Open the main load door.

2.) Locate the nut and bolt securing the door latch to the body of the stove.

3.) Using a wrench, loosen and remove the nut on the inside of the firebox (It is a good idea to spray the nut with a product like PB Blaster or WD40 and let it set for several minutes prior to removal).

4.) Remove the bolt holding the latch in place (Pay attention to the position of the door latch prior to removal. The new latch will need to be positioned in the same orientation).

5.) Position the new door latch in place and reinstall the previously removed bolt.

6.) Reinstall the previously removed nut.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting Notes

-If the door is not sealing correctly inspect the gasket and check to see if the retainer nut on the door handle can be adjusted. If the gasket is in good condition and the retainer nut can not be tightened the door latch may need to be replaced.
