Ashley 250W/ 300W Pellet Stove Cartridge Heater Igniter, (C-E-ING-AMP), 80607-AMP

This cartridge heater pellet stove igniter or "hot rod" is 4" long and 3/8" in diameter. It's rated for 300 watts @ 125 volts. Ashley uses many different sizes in their various units which can all look the same. Check your owner's manual with our stove compatibility for proper fitment.

Note: From time to time, USSC, the parent company for Ashley, Breckwell, and Vogelzang will ship 250-watt igniters as replacement parts and will also build units with both 300-watt and 250-watt igniters in their units. They are interchangeable. All other specs are the same. Both work without any notable differences.

It is advised to always replace the door gasket whenever an igniter is replaced. air that enters the firebox from the door gasket causes delayed ignitions that ultimately causes igniters to fail. The door gasket for units that use this igniter is part 88066

Compatible Models

1. Remove from power source
2. Remove the rear service panel
3. Remove the convection room blower from the left side of the stove
4. The igniter will be located in the center of the back of the stove alongside the floor of the mechanical area
5. Remove wires from the igniter
6. Loosen the set collar from the igniter and then pull the igniter out of the back of the stove.
7. Sometimes if the igniter has a powerful short circuit the ignition rod can bend making it difficult to remove from the back of the stove. If this happens, cut the wires from the back of the old igniter and then push it forward to re removed from the inside of the fire box.
8. Insert your new igniter
9. Set the igniter with the set screw so that the end of the igniter is flush to 1/8" away from the end of the ignition tube inside the fire box.
10. Connect the new igniter wires to the wiring harness
11. Inspect the back of the control board for a blown fuse and replace if necessary
12. Reinstall the control and the rear and side service panels

If your igniter is getting hot but mot igniting, make sure the damper below the burnpot is closed. If you are experiencing longer than usual ignition times consider replacing your door gasket.

If your igniter is not getting warm, your igniter has most likely failed and should be replaced.

Sometimes when an igniter shorts out it will blow the main fuse or the ignition circuit fuse on the controller.
