Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove Vacuum/Pressure Switch.  The vacuum switch is an important safety device that ensures a certain pressure is maintained inside the stove.  This switch is mounted on the rear of the unit and will be connected to a plastic or silicon hose.  If the switch is damaged or not functioning properly it may cause the feed motor to stop turning, an error code to display or not allow the unit to feed fuel during start up.

Note: Fits Breckwell SP6000 Heartland manufactured in 2012 and later.

    Instructions

Install Instructions For Breckwell Vacuum/Pressure Switch: 80549

    To replace the pressure switch:

    1. Unplug the unit.
    2. Remove the necessary panels from the unit to gain access to the switch.
    3. Locate the switch.
    4. Disconnect the wire leads attached to the switch.
    5. Remove the vacuum hose from the port on the switch.
    6. Loosen and remove the screws attaching the switch to the mounting bracket /rear of the stove.
    7. Position the new switch in the same orientation as the old switch (Unless the instructions specify a different position).
    8. Reinstall the previously removed screws.
    9. Reconnect the wire leads and vacuum hose.
    10. Reposition and install any previously removed panels.
    11. Plug in the stove and test the unit to confirm it is operating as it should.

    Troubleshooting

-To test the vacuum/pressure switch, disconnect the air hose from the body of the stove. With the other end still attached to the air switch, very gently create suction on the loose end of the hose (You may want to remove the hose entirely from the port on the stove and the air switch first to make sure it is clear). If you hear a click, the air switch is working (Be careful during this step. Creating too much negative pressure can damage the switch).

-If the switch appears to be operating correctly but you are still receiving a vacuum-related error code make sure to check:

1.) All gaskets are in good condition.

2.) The main load door and ash door are closing correctly.

3.) There are no obstructions in the exhaust vent or combustion blower.
