Description

Replacement Glass For Select Hearthstone Gas Stoves.  It is important to periodically inspect the glass and glass gasket on your stove to ensure you have a proper seal.  A crack in the glass or a missing / deteriorated gasket could allow exhaust to enter the room.  

Replacement For Models: Santa Fe 8760, 8761, Champlain 8301

A Note About Our Glass: Unlike some manufacturers, we do not use tempered glass. Tempered glass should NEVER be used in a wood fuel stove, it is not suitable for high heat use. Our glass is made to resist very high temperatures up to 1,400° F / 760° C with low thermal expansion.

Install Instructions For Hearthstone Glass (17-7/16" × 11-9/16"): 3030-028

Instructions:

1.) Shut the pilot light off.

2.) Remove the front screw, using a 1/8” hex wrench, and open the door.

3.) Pull the door up and remove it from its hinges.

4.) Remove the Phillips head screws in the frame and pull the frame and glass off the door (If the glass is broken, pull the broken fragments of glass away from the door using heavy-duty gloves, as the pieces will be very sharp).

5.) Carefully replace the glass gasket as necessary and replace the door. 




Troubleshooting

Helpful Tips:

Pay special attention to how the gasket is installed on the old glass and how the glass sets in the glass frame prior to removal. If there are any fasteners that need to be removed, it is a good idea to spray them with a product like WD40 or PB Blaster prior to removal. This will greatly reduce the possibility of stripping or breaking any screws/bolts during removal.


Warranty

Please open and inspect your glass to make sure that it has arrived intact. Damage Claims for broken glass from shipping MUST be made within 72 hrs of delivery, no exceptions. Glass breaking from after installation is NOT covered under warranty, this is due to improper installation. If you do not feel comfortable replacing your glass, please contact a licensed technician.
