  • What does a T1 sensor do

    Hello,
    The Thelin T1 Sensor reads the ambient heat coming from the combustion chamber. If the temperature is too hot it will shut the stove down. It will also sense if there is a blockage in the flue. When there is something, be it soot/ash bulid up or a bird built a nest in venting. There will be push back from the exhaust not being able to evacuate as freely as if the passage was completely clear. So the T1 switch will shut the stove down in this case as well.
