Install Instructions For Traeger Bronson 20 Door Handle Kit, KIT0122
1. Insert handle (13) onto the two slots located in the Door (9).
2. Install Washer (29) and Bolt (28) onto the Handle (13) bolt from inside the Door (9) and tighten. Repeat the process on the other side. Do not over tighten the Bolts.

how do i position the washers - are they inside the grill hood or outside. My handle is hot
The washers are positioned on the exterior face of the grill cover over the washers. The washers help stop heat bridging from the grill cover the handle. Obviously the screws come in from behind the grill cover.
Should I be using the heat treated washer that came with the handle or disguard them
