Heatilator Eco Choice Exhaust Fan Blade (5" Double Paddle): 3-20-502221-AMP

This 5" combustion blower fan blade is a double-sided impeller that is used on Heatilator Eco Choice Pellet Stoves. Check out the compatible stoves tab to verify which impeller you need for your stove. 

If any of the petals (fins) are bent, your stove may vibrate. To fix this, you can sometimes bend them back to help balance the motor. It is suggested to replace the impeller if the metal is corroded, if there is metal missing or if the impeller is unbalanced through wear and tear.

If you are replacing your combustion blower motor for any reason, it is suggested to also replace the impeller.

To remove the impeller blade you must gain access to it so you can physically see the paddles. Spin the paddles around until you can locate the Allen key set screw. It will be a 7/32” hole with a 5/32” threaded Allen key. It is helpful to spray the set screw with plenty of penetrating oil prior to applying any force to the set screw. If the set screw strips and many often do if they have not been turned out in years, the set screw may need to be drilled out, if you can access it with a drill. If the combustion blower is going to be changed during the process, the shaft of the combustion blower can be cut and replaced with a new motor and impeller. Personally, I assume that the screw cannot be taken out and always replace the motor and impeller together each time.
