USSC Pellet Stove 1.1 RPM CW Auger Motor (5560 & 5660): 80606. The motor attaches to the auger and rotates at timed intervals. If your stove's auger motor is not rotating and all safety switches are operating as they should, the part may need to be replaced.

Note: USSC describes this motor on various parts of its website as being a counterclockwise motor (CCW), which is incorrect.

Instructional Notes

This is a basic overview of how to replace the auger/drive motor. This process will vary depending on the unit!

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger/drive motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Remove the retainer pin or set screw that attaches the auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the motor).

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin or set screw.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.
