Description

USSC Exhaust Blower Impeller (Fits Blower: 80602 & PP7911).  The exhaust blower is responsible for drawing smoke out of the unit and pulling combustion air into the stove.  It is important that the blower functions properly.  If the blower is not running as it should, smoke/flue gas may enter the room.  You may also notice a lazy flame and a poor burn as a result of inadequate combustion air being delivered to the fire.

Instructions

Install Instructions For US Stove Exhaust Blower Impeller (Fits Blower: 80602)
  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Open the service panel on the side of the unit (You may have to remove additional panels to access the blower).
  3. Remove/loosen the bolts attaching the blower to the housing and remove the blower (If there is enough slack in wires leading to the blower you may be able to support the blower during this step. If the wires are too short disconnect the leads running to the motor).
  4. Remove the old blower impeller (It is a good idea to spray the set screw on the impeller with a product like PB Blaster or WD40 and let it set prior to removal).
  5. Reposition the new impeller in place and tighten the set screw (The new impeller should be positioned on the motor shaft at the same distance as the previous fan blade).
  6. Reposition the blower motor in place and reinstall/tighten the screws/bolts.
  7. Reconnect any previously removed wires.
  8. Reinstall any previously removed panels.
  9. Plug in the unit and test the blower.

Troubleshooting

-The exhaust blower is responsible for removing smoke from the unit and pulling combustion air into the stove. If you notice a lazy flame when your stove is burning or smell smoke you should shut down the stove.

-Carefully inspect all gaskets, clean the stove/venting, and inspect the area around the combustion blower.

-If the fan blade shows signs of deterioration or there are pieces missing it should be replaced.
