Description

Blaze King Wood Stove Glass (AF20 & AF20.1).  It is important to periodically inspect the glass and glass gasket on your wood stove to ensure you have a proper seal.  A crack in the glass or a missing / deteriorated gasket could allow smoke or flue gases to enter the room.

Measurements are 15" x 9-3/4" x 3/16"

Gasket sold separately

*Please measure your existing glass to confirm compatibility. *

A Note About Our Glass: Unlike some manufacturers, we do not use tempered glass. Tempered glass should NEVER be used in a wood fuel stove, it is not suitable for high heat use. Our glass is made to resist very high temperatures up to 1,400° F / 760° C with low thermal expansion.

Instructions

Install Instructions For Blaze King Wood Stove Glass (AF20 & AF20.1): Z0256-AMP

DOOR GLASS / DOOR GLASS GASKET REPLACEMENT:

1. Start by removing the door from the stove.

2. Place the door face down on a soft, flat and even surface.

3. Loosen all bolts / fastens that are securing the retainer clips to the door (It is a good idea to spray these fasteners with a product like WD40 or PB Blaster prior to this step. This will greatly reduce the possibility of stripping or breaking any screws / bolts during removal).

4. Remove the old glass and place it on a soft, flat and even surface.

5. Remove the old gasket from the glass.

6. Starting at one corner carefully wrap the gasket around the edges, pressing firmly onto the sides of the glass with the gasket centered on the edge. Finish the wrapping with a 1/2” overlap. Ensure the thickness of the gasket remains consistent and uniform.

7. Make sure the channel where the glass will be set is clean and free of any debris.

8. Set the glass into the door frame (Ensure the glass is parallel to the frame).

9. Install the glass retainers with original fasteners. Tighten the fasteners in a crisscross pattern. This will help to ensure there is even pressure on the glass (Do not overtighten).

Troubleshooting

Helpful Tips:

If you need to remove the glass or glass gasket it is a good idea to spray any fasteners with a product like WD40 or PB Blaster prior to this step. This will greatly reduce the possibility of stripping or breaking any screws / bolts during removal. When reinstalling the glass tighten the fasteners in a crisscross pattern. This will help to ensure there is even pressure on the glass (Do not overtighten).

Warranty

Please open and inspect your glass to make sure that it has arrived intact. Damage Claims for broken glass from shipping MUST be made within 72 hrs of delivery, no exceptions. Glass breaking from after installation is NOT covered under warranty, this is due to improper installation. If you do not feel comfortable replacing your glass, please contact a licensed technician. For instructions on proper glass installation, please read the instructions provided in the instructions tab.
