Instructional Notes

GLASS REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

1. Ensure the appliance is not in operation and is thoroughly cooled.

2. Remove screw and glass clips.

3. Remove the glass from the door frame.

4. If the glass is broken, carefully remove and discard each broken piece to avoid cuts. Discard window gasket.

5. Replace the new gasket starting at the bottom of the glass and working along the edges Be sure to center the gasket channel on the glass.

6. Trim to length and butt ends together.

7. Perform replacement procedure in reverse order after replacing glass and gasket.

8. When replacing the glass be not to overtighten the screws and clips!

Troubleshooting Notes

It is important that there is a good seal between the door and the body of your stove. A poor seal can cause ignition issues, burn problems, and allow smoke to enter the room. If you are having an issue where the door doesn't seal properly, adjusting the handle or door latch may resolve the issue. If the problem persists or you notice that the gasket is damaged, the gasket should be replaced!

First time door gasket repair

I think my first time gasket removal and replacement went very well. Followed direction from utube dude, spent considerable time cleaning the gap, applied the stove silicone as directed and then the gasket, alowed it to dry for 3 hours before firing the pellet stove. BUT, the best investment I made was the improved burn pot for my model. This pellet stove burns better than it did from day one. This is the 4th winter we have had it and it's better than ever. I was so excited to try it and I'm in love with this burn pot. Sounds crazy but it's a game changer. Just hope all of the new pellet stoves are sold with this pot. I read reviews before I ordered it and they were positive. Again unbelievable difference in the way it burns the pellets. Also very good service!
