Install Instructions For Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE & Edge 60 Control Board: SRV7000-456

Replacing the control board or motherboard on a Mt Vernon AE or Edge60 is usually the last resort to solve problems. Too often this is usually after you have exhausted all other options and have invested in many new parts that didn't solve the problems at hand.

Troubleshooting

Where to locate the fuses

There are three fuses. Two fuses are located on the inside of the control board. One fuse is AC and operates the igniter and the other fuse is DC and operates all of the other components. The third fuse is located in the power supply. A fuse will blow should a short occur and shut off power to the appliance. These fuses are located on the power supply assembly and the control board assembly, under the black plastic cover.

  • Control board Battery Back-up System Fuse (15AMP x 20mm), 7000-491 is located near input #17
  • Control board Igniter Fuse (5AMP x 20mm), 7000-490 is located near output #13
  • Power supply main system fuse (5AMP x 20mm), 7000-490 is located on the power supply

*NOTES*

  1. If the igniter shorts out in the stove it can sometimes take out the igniter fuse located on the control board. Before ordering new parts, remove the control board, remove the cover and inspect the fuse and the motherboard itself. Igniter shorts have been known to take out the control board too.
  2. If you have no power to the stove, inspect the fuse in the power supply. Usually when this fuse fails, you will have a bad combustion or convection blower but this fuse has also been know to blow during a power surge event.




Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
