Description

Replacement Honeywell to SIT valve conversion kit for Monessen gas stoves. Please check your owners manual for compatibility. 

Includes a SIT 820 Nova Direct Vent Fireplace Propane Gas Valve, Mounting Bracket, Piezo Igniter, and hardware. This is a milivolt valve. It uses a thermopile (main valve), and thermocouple (pilot). Has 3/8" female pipe thread inlet and outlet connections.

Troubleshooting

Most people replace the fireplace valve for one of two reasons: first - the pilot light will not stay on when you release the pilot knob, and second - the valve will not turn the main burner on when the switch is engaged. Before you replace your valve, make sure you do the following things. Clean and blow out the pilot flame assembly so that it has a really strong flame heating the thermocouple and thermopile. Change your thermocouple if the pilot will not stay lit, even after holding it for several minutes. Change the thermopile if the valve will not open and ignite the main burner. Rule out bad wiring or control device (switch, remote control, thermostat) by bypassing the device. To bypass, touch a small jumper wire to the TH and THTP terminals on the valve. This will open the valve and allow the main burner to ignite. Only replace the valve when everything else has been tried.


Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
