Description

Breckwell Door Glass Gasket. The glass gasket provides a tight seal between the door glass and door frame.  A leak around the door glass can cause burn issues and may allow smoke to enter the room. If you visibly see that the gasket is damaged or suspect that it is not sealing properly around the glass, it should be replaced!

GLASS GASKET REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE (May Vary Depending On Model)

1. Ensure the appliance is not in operation and is thoroughly cooled.

2. Remove screw and glass clips.

3. Remove the glass from the door frame (Pay special attention to how the gasket is installed. Your new gasket will be positioned in the same way).

4. If the glass is broken, carefully remove and discard each broken piece to avoid cuts. Discard the old window gasket.

5. Replace the new gasket starting at the bottom of the glass and working along the edges (Be sure to center the gasket channel on the glass).

6. Trim to length and butt ends together.

7. Perform replacement procedure in reverse order after replacing glass and gasket.

8. When replacing the glass be not to overtighten the screws and clips!

Troubleshooting

-You should inspect the gasket around the glass regularly. If you notice black or brown streaks on the door glass, this may indicate that there is a leak. A leak around the door glass can cause burn issues and may allow smoke to enter the room. Tightening the glass retainer clips may solve this problem. If you visibly see that the gasket is damaged or suspect that it is not sealing properly around the glass it should be replaced!


Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

We ship to Canada! We estimate USPS to take 4-10 days once receiving your package. Please note, we are unable to track US Postal packages once they cross the US border and cannot guarantee shipping times. All customs fees incurred are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the total price. Please allow an extra 2-5 days for all shipments to Canada. Free shipping is not available to Canada.
