Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove Low Temp Snap Switch (110F): 80610. This switch detects the increase in exhaust temperature, verifying that the fire has started. This allows the unit to shift from start-up to a maintenance burn. If your unit lights initially but goes out after the fire is established, this switch may need to be replaced.

Fitment Note: Older Breckwell units used a larger style snap disc. If you have an older unit, you will need adapter plate C-S-957.

Install Instructions For Breckwell Pellet Stove Low Temp Snap Switch (110F): 80610

Instructional Notes

  1. Unplug the stove.
  2. Remove any rear or side panels needed to gain access to the switch.
  3. Gently pull the spade connectors from the tabs on the switch.
  4. Unscrew the fasteners holding the switch in place and remove the old switch (If your switch uses a gasket, take care not to damage it when removing the old switch).
  5. Position the new switch and gasket (If used).
  6. Reinstall the previously removed fasteners.
  7. Connect the wires to the new switch (It does not matter which wire goes to which side).
  8. Reinstall any previously removed panels.
  9. Plug in the stove and perform a test burn.

Troubleshooting Notes

This is a F110-15 made from a ceramic material which is high-heat tolerant. Because it's normally open, it's most often referred to as a fan switch. At ambient room temperature this switch is normally open or OFF and needs to detect heat to CLOSE to allow power to flow through the circuit. The switch will close at 95 degrees to restore power and will return to it's normal state at 110 degrees to cut power automatically. Failure of this switch happens when it stops opening or closing at the designated temperature thresholds.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
