Breckwell Pellet Stove Agitator/Drive Motor (Made In USA By Gleason Avery) 4-RPM CW: 80456. This motor attaches to the auger or agitator (Depending on the model) and rotates in timed intervals. If your motor is not turning and you have confirmed all safety switches are operating as they should, the motor may need to be replaced!

This is a basic overview of how to replace the auger/drive motor. This process will vary depending on the unit!

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger/drive motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers remove the retainer pin that attaches that auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor). On some motors, a set screw will need to be removed.

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin or set screw.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects.   1. Looking for a Breckwell auger motor for a P24. I installed it in 2003. Serial number is 52931. Do I need a 1rpm or 4 rpm motor?

    You need a 1 RPM motor if you have digital controller with 5 levels on the heat range.

Fixed the issue

I have made a few purchases here and will continue to do so. The support is outstanding and they ship insanely fast. In regard to the new auger motor, the install was easy and it works great. If you are installing this auger motor on a 6039 or 6039I do yourself a favor and cut a 12 point 5/16 wrench in half because one of the bolts is difficult to get to.
