An airtight seal around the gaskets is crucial to proper stove performance and safety. The door gasket

should be replaced when it no longer forms a tight seal with the door, or as it becomes frayed, matted or

hard. There are several model doors and gaskets for our units, but all are replaced in basically the

same manner.


Open the stove door and remove the old gasket (NOTE: When replacing glass and/or glass gasket at the

same time, the door gasket should be replaced last). Remove any leftover silicone from the door and/or

from the door channel -you may need to use a scraper to do so.


In most cases it is easiest to remove the door and lay it on a flat working surface. Using t he silicone

provided , put a bead of silicone around the channel on the door . Then, starting in the bottom corner -

furthest away from the handle side - install the new gasket, routing it in the channel and cutting as needed,

being sure to butt the ends to make a complete seal. Reinstall the door and shut and latch it for 24 hours

before use, to allow the silicone to properly set up.

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

Please note, we are unable to track US Postal packages once they cross the US border and cannot guarantee shipping times. Needed firebrick fiber board for an old Englander pellet stove we've been patching up and limping along for years. Got a door gasket while we were at it. Both are perfect, I'll be back after heating season for a new blower motor and a few other things. Almost can't wait for it to get cold again.
