Description

This is a 4mm thick glass, which is the thickness Jotul is currently distributing. This aftermarket version does not include the metal channel.

Your stove may not have a metal channel "guard" along the bottom edge. Initially, the Jotul F400 stove was distributed with glass that did not have a channel, regardless of the glass thickness. Jotul added the channel to both the 4mm and 5mm glass to protect the bottom edge from fuel.

The measurements are 18 5/8"W x 11 3/8"H x 1/8"T with a top arch. 

Important Notes: Two versions of this glass were made with different thicknesses. This is the 4mm version. The 4mm and 5mm are NOT interchangeable. Please measure your glass prior to ordering.

A Note About Our Glass: Unlike some manufacturers, we do not use tempered glass. Tempered glass should NEVER be used in a wood fuel stove, it is not suitable for high heat use. Our glass is made to resist very high temperatures up to 1,400° F / 760° C with low thermal expansion.

Install Instructions For Jotul F400 Castine Single Door Glass 4mm (Metal Channel Version): 156209-WC-AMP

Instructional Documents:

1. Remove the door from the stove and place it on a flat surface

2. Carefully remove all of the glass clips from the inside of the door.

3. Gently remove the glass panel and gasket.

4. Using a wire brush, remove all remaining debris from the gasket channel.

5. Apply a small bead of gasket/stove cement to the gasket channel. Beginning at the bottom center, press the new 1/4" LD round gasket into place without stretching it. Do not overlap the ends of the gasket rope.

6. Center the new glass panel over the gasket. Reinstall the glass clips.

NOTE: It is extremely important to tighten the glass clips gradually, and in an alternating pattern as you would when tightening the lugs on a vehicle wheel.

Warranty

Please open and inspect your glass to make sure that it has arrived intact. Damage Claims for broken glass from shipping MUST be made within 72 hrs of delivery, no exceptions. Glass breaking from after installation is NOT covered under warranty, this is due to improper installation. If you do not feel comfortable replacing your glass, please contact a licensed technician. When Will My Order Ship?

All orders are typically processed within 24 hours of receiving payment and are shipped from us same day if placed before our shipping cutoff time (Monday - Friday: 12PM, Saturday: 10AM, Sunday: No Shipping), orders placed after our cutoff time are shipped the next morning.

Do You Offer Express Shipping?

How Does Free Shipping Work?

Most orders over $99 qualify for free shipping! Orders which ship for free are shipped with either USPS or UPS based on our discretion. If you are using a PO box, free shipping orders will always go USPS.

Do You Ship To Canada?

We ship to Canada! We estimate USPS to take 4-10 days once receiving your package. Please note, we are unable to track US Postal packages once they cross the US border and cannot guarantee shipping times. All customs fees incurred are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the total price. Please allow an extra 2-5 days for all shipments to Canada. Free shipping is not available to Canada.

Do You Ship To Alaska Or Hawaii?

We ship to both Alaska and Hawaii! We do not offer next day or two day shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. Free shipping is not available to Alaska or Hawaii.

The fit is perfect

We haven't installed it yet as it's summer! However, we did check that the old channel fit the glass and that the glass dimensions were correct. All is well and the price couldn't be beat! Thank you. Will update if necessary once we use it.
