Description

Blaze King Wood Stove Convection Blower with Mounting Grommets (Wire ends are stripped and can accept various connectors).  This fan is designed to circulate room air around the back and top of the stove / insert. As this room air travels around the unit it becomes heated. This increases the efficiency of the stove by allowing more heat to be transferred into the room and less heat to be lost through the exhaust.

Fits the following Models: PI, 7009, 8003, 9703, 9802 & 2203.

Instructions

Install Instructions For Blaze King Wood Stove Convection Blower (W/ Mounting Grommets): Z4631-AMP

Installation Instructions:

1.) Unplug the unit's power cord.

2.) Locate the blower motor. Free-Standing Stoves: It may be necessary to remove the rear and side panels to gain access to this area. Inserts: Most often the unit needs to be pulled out of the firebox in order to access this location.

3.) Follow the power wires coming off of the existing motor & disconnect them at the first connection (Pay attention to the orientation of the wires and connection location. Often the power wire leads will come from the motor. Other times, there will be two lead wires that run from the unit and connect to tabs on the motor).

4.) Locate the fasteners attaching the fan housing to the unit and remove them.

5.) Position the new blower in place and reattach using the previously removed fasteners.

6.) Reconnect the wires (Pay attention to the wire location).

7.) Free-Standing Stoves: Reinstall any previously removed panels. Inserts: Reposition the insert back into the firebox cavity.

8.) Plug in the unit's power cord.

*On some units, the convection blower will sit in place and is not attached with any fasteners. *

Troubleshooting

Helpful Tips:

Reduced Air Flow-If you feel like your fan is not moving as much air as it did in the past start off by cleaning the fan and surrounding areas. Often times pet hair and dust are drawn into the fan and collect on the blades. This build-up can slow down the rotation of the blower. Sometimes brushing the dust off with a light bristle paint brush and vacuuming out the area will resolve this problem.

Blower Not Rotating-The first step to take is to manually check and see if the fan spins freely. The fan should spin freely in both directions with very little resistance. If the fan feels stuck or you feel resistance it usually indicates that the fan blade is not centered between the grommets. This can also happen if debris is lodged in the fan.

If you are still experiencing issues after trying these steps your blower may need to be replaced.

Aftermarket Fan

Used on the Montpelier VC stove to replace OEM fan. Much quieter than the OEM and 1/3 the cost!

Perfect fit. Not problems with installation and operation. This replacement is quieter than the original blower. We hope it lasts as long as the original.

Easy to use

Easily found what I needed. Check out was quick and not difficult. Received product promptly.

Vermont Castings blower motor

Generally pleased with the unit but it wasn’t a half hour swap out. I knew it was a aftermarket part and seems to be well made. The 2 mounting brackets and the thermostat and bracket had to be transferred from the original 10 year old blower that was on the Merrimack. At least there were holes drilled to accept the brackets. There was no ground wire only 2 black wires from the motor. The tech guy there said it works fine without the ground wire and does.
The price was right and worth the extra effort to install.

All was well.
