Description

ComfortBilt Pellet Stove Proof of Fire Switch. The purpose of this switch is to confirm that a fire has started in the unit and allow the stove to progress from ignition to heat mode.  Most units will have 2 Proof of Fire switches located on the exhaust pipe housing just above the exhaust motor.  One serves as the active switch and the other is an unused back up.

Install Instructions For Comfort Bilt Proof of Fire Switch: FireSwitch

Installation:

1.) Unplug the power cord from the unit.

2.) Remove the side panel closest to the exhaust flange.

3.) Locate the Proof of Fire switches on the exhaust pipe housing above the exhaust motor.

4.) Unplug both spade connectors from the active switch.

5.) Using a small flathead screwdriver remove both screws holding the switch plate in place.

6.) Install your new switch into the recess.

7.) Reinstall both screws.

8.) Plug both spade connectors onto the new switch (The orientation of the wires on this switch does not matter).

9.) Reinstall the side plate.

10.) Plug the power cord back into the unit.

Troubleshooting

 Helpful Tips:

A low- temperature alert message is displayed any time there is an interruption in communication between the Proof of Fire Sensor and the stove’s control board. This alert can indicate an issue with the Proof of Fire Switch, a problem with the leads connecting to that switch, or it may simply mean that the fire in the stove went out.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

Most orders over $99 qualify for free shipping! Orders which ship for free are shipped with either USPS or UPS based on our discretion. If you are using a PO box, free shipping orders will always go USPS.

We ship to Canada! We estimate USPS to take 4-10 days once receiving your package from us. We do not offer expedited shipping of any kind to Canada. Please allow an extra 2-5 days for all shipments to Canada. Free shipping is not available to Canada.
