This bracket is located centered at the top of the firebox. This part is necessary for the center medallion to stay in place.

NOTE: Harman has changed the design of this part since they first started using them. When Harman changed the center medallion, making it thicker and taller, they needed to change the holder to accommodate the medallion design change. If you are replacing this part and have a medallion that has a flat top (3-00-674060) verses a "step up" raised top (3-00-584027) you will need to replace the medallion and flame guide (3-00-03000) as well.
