Description

USSC Wood/Coal Furnace Convection Blower Gasket.  This gasket installs between the unit and convection/distribution blower.  The gasket creates a seal between the blower and the body of the stove.  This helps ensure that all air being circulated around the stove is directed through the unit's heat exchanger.  It is suggested that this gasket be changed if you are replacing the distribution blower or if it begins to show signs of deterioration.

1.) Unplug the power from the furnace or turn off the breaker supplying power.

2.) Locate the bolts holding the blower to the rear of the unit.

3.) Loosen the bolts & remove the blower (If the wire supplying power to the motor is not disconnected support the blower during this step).

4.) Hold the new gasket and blower in place and start to thread 1-2 bolts through the blower flange (This will help hold the gasket in place as you reposition the blower).

5.) Position the blower along the rear of the unit and reinstall the previously removed bolts.

6.) Plug in the unit or flip the breaker to restore power.
