"OEM" or Original Equipment Manufacturer are parts that the stove manufacturer makes themselves or outsources from other suppliers for their specific stove models. When you order replacement parts for your pellet stove directly from a manufacturer or it’s retailers you can be certain that these parts will be “OEM”.
"AMP" is an acronym that stands for After Market Parts. This is equipment that is sourced out directly which cuts out the stove manufacturers hefty markup. AMP equipment works exactly the same as its OEM counterpart, especially when you’re looking at blowers, igniters, fire backs, switches, gaskets and controls, as quite often, they are made by the same exact manufacturer that supplied the OEM parts as you will see with many “Fasco” blowers and “Gleason Avery” auger motors.
Here at Stove Parts 4 Less we like to offer you the choice of the OEM and the AMP version of products whenever possible to save you money. In some cases we like to offer multiple versions of the AMP part where they are made by the same manufacturer as the original or an alternative version at an even lower price. Operating the USSC Clayton 1600G/1800G Wood/Coal Furnace
The Clayton 1600G/1800G can potentially offer huge savings on heating costs and years of operation, as long as it is properly operated and maintained. Here are a few tips for utilizing your wood and coal furnace properly:
Keep Grate Clear of Ashes Ashes should not be allowed to pile up further than 2" above the grates.
Regularly Change Air Filter The air filter should be changed at least every 30 days to ensure that your furnace runs properly.
Perform Yearly Maintenance The chimney and stove pipe should be cleaned yearly to prevent creosote build up and potential chimney fires.
Do Not Overfire Your Furnace Overfiring can happen if the ash door is open, or even if gaskets are worn or not properly attached. It is important to replace any worn or damaged gaskets.
When properly maintained, your Clayton 1600G can last for decades. Stove Parts for Less has the replacement part you need to make sure that your wood and coal furnace continues to provide warmth and comfort for many years to come.
