Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove Vacuum/Pressure Switch.  The vacuum switch is an important safety device that ensures a certain pressure is maintained inside the stove.  This switch is mounted on the rear of the unit and will be connected to a plastic or silicon hose.  If the switch is damaged or not functioning properly it may cause the feed motor to stop turning, an error code to display or not allow the unit to feed fuel during start up

Instructions

Install Instructions For Breckwell Vacuum/Pressure Switch: C-E-201-AMP

1.) Unplug the stove.

2.) Remove the necessary panels to gain access to the rear of the unit.

3.) Locate the vacuum/pressure switch (Pay attention to what port the hose connects to on the switch. Some units may have a switch with two ports on it. The hose must be installed on the correct port in order to function properly).

4.) Disconnect the vacuum hose from the switch.

5.) Remove the old switch.

6.) Install the new switch and reconnect the vacuum hose.

7.) Reinstall any previously removed panels and plug in the unit.

Troubleshooting

-To test the vacuum/pressure switch, disconnect the air hose from the body of the stove. With the other end still attached to the air switch, very gently create suction on the loose end of the hose (You may want to remove the hose entirely from the port on the stove and the air switch first to make sure it is clear). If you hear a click, the air switch is working (Be careful during this step. Creating too much negative pressure can damage the switch).

-If the switch appears to be operating correctly but you are still receiving a vacuum-related error code make sure to check:

1.) All gaskets are in good condition.

2.) The main load door and ash door are closing correctly.

3.) There are no obstructions in the exhaust vent or combustion blower.
