Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove (1 RPM CW) Auger Motor: 80642. The motor attaches to the auger and rotates at timed intervals. If your stove's auger motor is not rotating and all safety switches are operating as they should, the part may need to be replaced.

Note: Fits most Breckwell pellet stove models produced in 2003 and after, as well as some older P22 and P23 units. Serial numbers may be inaccurate. Please double-check by looking at the label on the old motor to confirm RPM & rotation direction before ordering!

Instructional Notes

This is a basic overview of how to replace the auger/drive motor. This process will vary depending on the unit!

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger/drive motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers remove the retainer pin that attaches that auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor). On some motors, a set screw will need to be removed.

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin or set screw.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.
