Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove Auger Motor.  The auger/feed motor is a critical part of your pellet stove.  The motor attaches to the auger shaft and rotates the auger in timed intervals.  This allows fuel from the hopper to be fed into the burn pot.

Note:  This replacement 1 RPM auger motor has a clockwise rotation on the shaft and a predrilled hole for attachment with a cotter pin.

Fits Breckwell Pellet Stoves with digital control boards with 5 heat levels, to include all pellet stoves made after 2003.

Instructions

Install Instructions For Breckwell Auger Motor- Made In The USA (Gleason Avery 80642): C-E-017-AMP

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers remove the retainer pin that attaches that auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor).

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.

Troubleshooting

It is important to understand what safety switches are on your stove. Often times when the auger motor is not feeding pellets it is the result of an issue somewhere else in the unit. Make sure you review your manual and test all switches that could be affecting auger rotation.

On most units, an issue with the hopper lid or pressure switch can cause the motor not to rotate!

AUGER

Service was excellent. We had to call to get the part number so we could order the correct part as it was not listed in the owner's manual. We then ordered on the website and were grateful they listed other parts that were needed to install the part. Also like the excellent description of original and after market and suggested the lower price along with the part to be considered.
