Description

Breckwell Pellet Stove (4RPM) Agitator/Drive Motor CW (Clockwise Rotation). The motor attaches to the auger or agitator (Depending on the model) shaft and rotates in timed intervals.

*Double check the manual for all specified models to verify Auger / Agitator part number!*  

 

Note: This motor has been redesigned and no longer has the fan on the top. The fan on the old style was only used to indicate direction, not cool the motor.

Install Instructions For Breckwell 4 RPM (CW) Agitator/Drive Motor: 80456-AMP

This is a basic overview of how to replace the auger/drive motor. This process will vary depending on the unit!

1.) Make sure that your unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Unplug the stove.

3.) Remove the needed panels to gain access to the auger/drive motor.

4.) After locating the motor, disconnect the wire leads connecting the motor to the wiring harness.

5.) Using a pair of pliers remove the retainer pin that attaches that auger motor to the auger shaft (This should release the auger motor). On some motors, a set screw will need to be removed.

6.) Position the new auger motor in place (You may need to rotate the auger in order to line up the hole on the auger shaft with the hole on the stub of the motor).

7.) Install the previously removed retainer pin or set screw.

8.) Reconnect the wire leads to the wiring harness.

9.) Reinstall any previously removed panels.

10.) Plug in the unit and test the motor.

Troubleshooting

Often when a unit is not feeding fuel, homeowners assume the auger motor has failed. While this can happen it is important to check the safety switches on your stove prior to replacing the motor. On most units, an issue with the pressure, hopper, or high-limit switch can cause your stove/insert to stop feeding pellets.


Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

Most orders over $99 qualify for free shipping! Orders which ship for free are shipped with either USPS or UPS based on our discretion. If you are using a PO box, free shipping orders will always go USPS.

We ship to Canada! We estimate USPS to take 4-10 days once receiving your package. Please note, we are unable to track US Postal packages once they cross the US border and cannot guarantee shipping times. All customs fees incurred are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the total price. Please allow an extra 2-5 days for all shipments to Canada. Free shipping is not available to Canada.

Do You Ship To Alaska Or Hawaii?

Worked perfectly

I was up and running within a week. We'll see if this replacement lasts for another 70 tons of pellets, but given how easy the installation was, I'd be happy with my purchase if it lasts half as long.
