Breckwell Pellet Stove Vacuum/Pressure Switch Hose (12" Length). This hose connects the pressure switch to a port on the back of the unit. It is important to inspect this hose periodically. A cracked or damaged vacuum hose may allow the pressure switch to open. This can cause your unit to stop feeding, shut down and display an error code.
Replacement For Part Numbers:
UPC: 012685911212
Inner Diameter | 5mm |
Outer Diameter | 10mm |
Length | 12" |
1.) Unplug the stove.
1.) Remove the necessary panels to gain access to the rear of the unit.
2.) Locate the vacuum/pressure switch (Pay attention to what port the hose connects to on the switch. Some units may have a switch with two ports on it. The hose must be installed on the correct port in order to function properly).
3.) Remove the old hose (One side should be connected to the pressure switch and the other will be connected to a port on the rear of the stove or combustion blower housing).
4.) Reinstall any previously removed panels and plug in the unit.
-Over time, the vacuum hose can dry out. This commonly happens at the ends of the hose where it connects to the pressure switch and the port on the stove. When there is an air leak in the hose, the pressure switch contacts can open causing an error code.
-Normally the hose is longer than it needs. If this is the case on your unit, you may be able to trim the ends of the hose (To remove the rotted sections) and reattach it between the switch and the port.
-If this does not solve the problem, make sure your venting is clear of any obstructions and verify that the combustion blower is spinning. If both items mentioned are as they should be, the vacuum switch may need to be replaced.
