ComfortBilt Pellet Stove Replacement Auger Shaft. The auger shaft attaches to the feed motor. When rotating, the auger helps deliver pellets from the hopper to the burn pot, providing fuel for combustion. The auger shaft is an integral part of the feed system.
2.) Remove the side and rear panels from the unit (You may only need to remove 2 panels).
3.) Loosen the set screw that holds the auger motor to the auger shaft.
4.) Locate and remove the 4 outer bolts that hold the auger motor and U-bracket to the underside of the hopper.
5.) Once removed set the motor & bracket off to the side (You may want to unplug the auger power cord from the circuit board).
6.) Remove the 4 outer bolts that hold the round bottom plate in place and remove the auger (Pay special attention to the upper auger bearing. It may fall out during this step).
7.) Install the new auger shaft (Make sure the upper auger bearing is installed at the top of the shaft prior to this step).
8..) Reinstall the round bottom plate and lower bearing.
7.) Reinstall the auger and U-bracket to the bottom plate (Make sure that the flat side of the auger motor post lines up with the set screw).
8.) Tighten the set screw to the auger shaft.
9.) Plug the auger motor power wire into the harness (If previously unplugged).
10.) Reinstall the side and rear panel & plug in the stove.
At times an auger jam can occur. This could be the reason your auger has stopped turning. Excessive dust, long pellets, or pellets with high moisture content can cause this issue to occur. Click on the Videos tab or check out ComfortBilt's Guide to Auger Testing for more info!

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers
make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please
be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
