Install Instructions For Englander Control Board Fuse (5-AMP): PU-CBF
Instructional Documents
Instructional Notes
The igniter fuse is located as an inline fuse inside the mechanical cabinet. It is located in a black fuse holder (cap) attached to the wiring harness on the red wires. If your igniter shorted out, this fuse will most likely be blown.
Troubleshooting Notes
If you keep blowing fuses at start-up, here is a simple way to troubleshoot the problem to see which component is causing the short.
NOTE: Before you get too involved in troubleshooting every component, when you have the controller out of the stove to access the fuse, look at the controller carefully on both sides for signs of a short circuit on the board itself. It is usually obvious. If you see any signs of carbon, which looks like a fire or hot spot on the board, or if the controller smells like an "electrical" burning smell, just replace the controller and start from there. This step is especially important if you recently had a power outage and your stove wasn't plugged into a surge protector.

I have a New England pellet stove can I use any 5 amp fuse that fits in
A little known bit of info here, if you unplug your stove and remove the two screws holding your controller to the side of the stove, on the side of the metal casing there is some electrical tape, under the tape, there is another replacement fuse for your stove. Replacement fuses do need to be rated for the proper amount of AMPS and have a reaction time as required; for example slow blow, fast blow, etc... usually denoted by the letters on the fuse itself...though I'm not 100% up on the nomenclature. AGC, ACC, etc... The fuse you remove will have very tiny stamped writing on the cap of the fuse that gives the AMP rating, Volt Rating, and Fuse type. Additionally, the fuse must be the correct length and diameter. The fuses we sell are rated for the models we have them listed for.
My father has a wood pellet England stove & We put in a new fuse & it blew again. Can you tell me what's going on. Thanks.
Try unplugging one of the igniter wires (thin white wires) and try it again with a new fuse. If it works, replace the igniter. If that isn't it, try doing this one component at a time until you find the component that's shorting out. Could be your wiring harness too. Check for bare spots...especially under the exhaust blower housing.
