It is advised to always replace the door gasket whenever an igniter is replaced. air that enters the firebox from the door gasket causes delayed ignitions that ultimately causes igniters to fail. The door gasket for units that use this igniter is part 88066

Compatible Models

1. Remove from power source
2. Remove the rear panel
3. Remove the two igniter wires
4. Open the front door and remove the burnpot and agitator
5. Remove the two screw from the igniter mounting bracket
6. Install new igniter and connect the new igniter wires and reinstall the rear service panel
7. Make sure you inspect the back of the controller for a blown fuse in position 1 and replace if needed.
8. Reassemble the components inside of the stove and reconnect power.
9. Plug the stove back into power

If your igniter is getting hot but mot igniting, make sure the damper below the burnpot is closed. If you are experiencing longer than usual ignition times consider replacing your door gasket.

If your igniter is not getting warm, your igniter has most likely failed and should be replaced.

Often, when igniter fails, the ignition fuse inside of the controller blows and should be inspected and replaced if necessary. These models have isolated fuses for each circuit. The ignition circuit should be in position 1. This is a 5 AMP, 125V rate fuse, click here to see the fuse.
