Description

Breckwell Multi-Fuel/Pellet Stove OEM Combustion Blower. The exhaust blower is responsible for drawing smoke out of the unit and pulling combustion air into the stove. It is important that the blower functions properly. If the blower is not running as it should, smoke/flue gas may enter the room. You may also notice a lazy flame and a poor burn as a result of inadequate combustion air being delivered to the fire.

Notes: Fits: SP6000 Heartland Units Pre 2013.  Please check your manual to confirm compatibility.

Instructions

Install Instructions For Breckwell Multi Fuel Stove Combustion Blower: A-E-028-AMP

1.) Unplug your stove and make sure the unit is cool to the touch.

2.) Locate the combustion blower (The combustion blower will be directly behind the exhaust collar on most stoves). To gain access to this area you may need to remove the rear and side panels.

3.) Loosen and remove the bolts attaching the combustion blower to the combustion blower housing.

4.) Remove the blower from the blower housing and set it next to the unit (Take care not to damage any wires).

5.) Remove the old gasket (If sections of the old gasket are stuck to the housing you can use a flathead screwdriver to remove them).

6.) Once the surface is clean position the new gasket in place (On most units the combustion blower can be attached to the unit once the screws are partially threaded into the blower housing. If this is the case with your blower, you should get the screws started while your positioning the gasket in place).

7.) If your gasket is set in place and the screws are partially threaded into the blower housing: line up the holes on the blower flange with the screws on the housingset the blower in place, rotate the blower slightly and tighten the screws down in a crisscross pattern.

8.) Reinstall any previously removed panels/vent pipe and plug in your stove.

Troubleshooting

-The exhaust blower is responsible for drawing smoke out of the unit and pulling combustion air into the furnace. If you notice smoke/flue gas entering the room or a lazy flame, this may be a sign that the combustion blower is not operating as it should. If you have thoroughly cleaned the unit/venting but are still experiencing these issues, you may want to consider replacing your blower!
